As with other reviewers, I did find it on the more expensive side, but no more expensive than any other similar restaurant I have eaten at since the pandemic. The food was delicious! I ordered a chicken basil sauce dinner (Pad Bai Gaprow, I think) that came with two vegetable spring rolls which were also very tasty. I ordered mine "medium" and it had a nice level of spice. My daughter had a curry dish "hot" and her nose was runny. There is an option to get "extra hot". I think next time I would order "hot" because I do like spicy food and I could have tolerated more heat in my dish. The portions were plenty as we both ate only half of our dinner, and we took the rest home (two more meals for her!). We also ordered desert, the deep fried bananas with ice cream-yum! This is not a very sweet dish so if you want sweet - order with honey. The server (owner?) was very pleasant and kept a cautious social distance. The website says "closed/open for take-out" so maybe they just started taking dine-in guests. The restaurant was not busy and it was perfect for us! We liked the atmosphere.
Would like to try again, but hesitant as I can get more quantity and similar quality of food for same price of $17 before tax and tips. Rice also wasn't included (rice isn't an expensive ingredient).
I ordered Thai Chicken Curry before from another place for take out, but here I found the portion to fill less than half the take-out container. Totally unsatisfactory!!! For close to $18 an order and such a small portion... NEVER AGAIN. The taste was all there and good. The Chicken Pad Thai was also cooked well, and the portion slightly better.
Unfortunately the competition wins this time.
